CFS opening ceremony set for April 25th

Pusan New Port will hold the CFS opening ceremony in its hinterlands on April 25.

Scheduled attendees include Minister Kim Sung Jin from MOMAF (Ministry of Maritime Affairs & Fisheries), President Chu Jun Seok from BPA (Busan Port Authority), and Japanese joint venture partners as well as other interested parties.

KOREX (Korea Express) and Daewoo Logistics began construction of CFS together with an investment of 4 billion won on October 12 of last year. They were selected as the CFS operator thanks to their announcement that they would handle 550,000 tonnes this year and 1,130,000 tonnes annually in the long term.

This consortium promised that they would attract cargoes from companies in Japan and Germany including cargo handling for CFS and conduct high valued logistics services such as storage, labeling, and packing.
