Hanjin Shipping incorporates in Thailand
Hanjin Shipping has incorporated in Thailand with a new office. The company announced that it set up a corporation in Thailand with its local partner, Thai Shipping. The corporation starts operations from the first of this month.
Thai Shipping was established in 1968. It has operated in part as a local agency for Hanjin Shipping since it concluding an agency contract with Hanjin Shipping in 1988.
Hanjin Shipping handles 110,000 TEU of cargoes yearly through Thai Shipping, which also attends to transshipment services in Singapore, Port Kelang, Kaohsiung and Pusan and another once weekly service in Asia.
The company established the local corporation in Thailand to strengthen its sales base and increase the efficiency of its logistic operations.
They expect the joint corporation in Thailand to earn about 480,000 dollars in profit yearly and to save on costs.
Hanjin Shipping set up joint offices in Valencia, Spain, and Antwerp, Belgium in January and February, respectively.
