[ HMM Fleet Reaches 100,100-TEU Milestone ]

Container carrying capacity of South Korea’s Hyundai Merchant
Marine(HMM) has passed the 100,000-TEU mark following the delivery
last month fo 5,551 TEU Hyundai Highness.
The vessel was the seventh of its kind delivery to HMM by affiliate
Hyundai Heavy Industries, boosting the carrier’s fleet to 30
containerships totaling 100,994 TEUs, and elevating its ranking from
19th last year to 10th this year.
HMM’s fleet now consists of seven 5,000-TEU class vessels, six of
4,000 TEUs, eight of 3,000, four fo 2,000, three of 1,000 and two
smaller vessels, company sources said.
