Hanjin Shipping receives 21st 5,000 TEU class ship
Hanjin Shipping received a new 5,750 TEU class container ship, the 'Hanjin Madrid', on June 3. It will operate in the Americas from the middle of this month.
The 'Hanjin Madrid' naming ceremony was held at HHI (Hanjin Heavy Industry) on June 3.
The new ship is the 21st 5,000 TEU class vessel for Hanjin Shipping.
The 'Hanjin Madrid' is 68,000 DWT with a loading capacity of 5,752 TEU, is 279 meters long, 40 meters wide, has a 74,000 hp engineand serves a cruising speed of 26.3 knots.
In the mean time, Hanjin Shipping will order another vessel dubbed the 'Hanjin Chicago' by the end of this year, increasing its number of 5,000 TEU class vessels to 22.
