U.S. Customs C-TPAT programme

Maersk Logistics announced on 2 January, 2003 that the U.S. Customs Service has formally accepted Maersk Logistics?application to C-TPAT.
C-TPAT is a co-operative endeavour between the trade community and U.S. Customs Service to develop, enhance, and maintain effective security processes throughout the global supply chain. Maersk Logistics?participation in C-TPAT will benefit their clients through:
* Reduced inspections and exams,
* Expedited processing (green lane)
