Pusan New Port starts wharf construction

Pusan New Port Corporation, a private company responsible for building private terminal in the Pusan New Port, held a caisson-building ceremony with 100 people at the construction site in Chinhae, South Kyoungsang province.

Caisson is a steel and concrete made structure, which is called, after, as berth to load and unload containers from the vessels.

In the private terminal in Pusan New Port, 109 caissons will be put on the 2 km long and 600 meter wide terminal.

Pusan New Port Terminal explained that the caisson setup indicated that terminal construction is on track.
