Opening trade connects Busan with Kokura July 28
The passenger ferry course that covers Busan to Kokura, Kitakusu in Japan launches from July 28.
Dae-A announced July 18 that they would hold a sailing ceremony for the 'Ocean Flower' at the international passenger's terminal, Port of Busan on July. The 'Ocean Flower', weighing in at 2,655 tons, can cover travel between Busan and Kokura in four hours with a 34-35 knots sailing speed. It can accommodate 520 passengers.
Though a bit slower than a 'Jet Foil' and not able to load cars, it sails 10 hours faster than a 10,000 ton class car-ferry. Sailing everyday to and from Busan and Kokura, passengers can reach Fukuoka, Simonoseki, Betbu and Horoshima within one hour by train.
Dae-A is planning to attract passengers with more reasonable prices by cooperating with travel agencies.
