[ Maersk and Sea-Land AE-1 Loop to Call Felixstone ]

Maersk Line and Sea-Land Service, Inc. will swtich the U.K. port calls
in their Asia Europe Express(AEX) AE-1 loop from Southampton to the P
ort of Flexstowe from March.
The other two loops in the AEX service already use Fleixstowe.
With other adjustments to the loop’s schedule, the U.K. port call wil
l no longer be the last call outbound from northern Europe. Once Felix
stowe finishes its ongoing dredging program next year, however, the po
rt will provide the last call, replacing Rotterdam.
In announcing the change in port, Maersk and Sea-Land noted that the m
ove will help provide a cost-effective and streamlined product for cus
tomers in the U.K. trade.
