Ellerman to become Hamburg Sud
The shipping group Hamburg Sud announced that it will be replacing its Ellerman brand with the renowned Hamburg Sud brand in order to present itself worldwide under one unified brand. Right at the start of 2004 the company had already taken the step of retiring the Columbus Line and Crowley American Transport brand. Ellerman is a specialist in the trades from/to Europe - the Levant - Israel and India/Pakistan.
In pursuit of its policy of brand consolidation, Hamburg Sud is endeavouring to link all its operations as closely as possible, exploit synergies and, as a result, achieve added value in its services for its customers. Against this background, the shipping group has successfully completed the takeover and integration of numerous new liner services on recent years and consolidated its position as one of the major carriers on the North-South trade routes.
The name of Hamburg Sud is associated with a sum of positive attributes, such as first-rate service, reliability, high technical standards, comprehensive logistical solutions, uniform expertise in all the trades it services and an efficient cost structure. Customers can now also take advantage of this performance spectrum of the Hamburg Sud brand on the routes from and to India, Pakistan, the countries of the Middle East, and Israel.
