Hanjin expands tramper service to all of Asia
Hanjin Transportation Co., LTD plans to expand its tramper service to all of Asia by 2006; to date it has only serviced China and Japan.
In the 49th general stockholders meeting, president Lee, Won-young said, "To increase global logistics competition, we expanded our costal marine business to overseas trampers servicing China and Japan. We will aggressively pursue this overseas business."
He added, "Seeing that 3PL is the future in our industry, we are preparing logistics consultant training and digital logistics solutions. And exclusive terminals will be completed this year in Kimpo and Kwangju. Also, a Daejeon general logistic terminal will be completed in the first half of 2006."
According to Hanjin's business showings last year, sales accounts are 661.7 billion won, trading profits 32 billion won, and ordinary income 21.9 billion. The current term saw net profits of 15.6 billion, up 100% compared to last year.
