High tech IT systems for the KSA

The Korea Shipping Association introduced a server system improvement, MIS (Management Information System) and Groupware system for the first step in an information-oriented business. The KSA recently finished installing the up-to-date information system solution with servers, a central database, MIS, Groupware system, enterprise portal, and project management system that started at last year.
To this, the association has improved business efficiency to work at any time or location, raised system competitiveness with standardizations and a smooth work flow. Especially, the KSA opened personalized homepages for members to support various services specifically for their needs.
Meanwhile, the association will continue to develop the total system with the second step security system and network structure improvements, the third step EDMS (Enterprise Document Management System), the fourth step KMS (Knowledge Management System) and the fifth step DW (Data Warehouse), EIS (Executive Information System) to finish the shipping portal infrastructure by 2007.
