P&O Nedlloyd strengthens China network

P&O Nedlloyd further expands its coverage of the China market with th
e extension of their Asia - Gulf service to the ports of Shanghai, Nin
gbo and Yantian. With the inaugural call of the m/v P&O Nedlloyd Banda
r Abbas in Ningbo on the 26th of August, P&O Nedlloyd increased their
China presence to 23 direct port calls per week.
The upgrade of the Asia-Gulf Service ensures that P&O Nedlloyd is in
a strong position to manage the tremendous growth in the China market.
The Asia - Gulf service has the following port rotation: Ningbo - Sha
nghai - Yantian - Singapore - Port Klang - Jebel Ali - Damman - Bandar
Abbas - Singapore - Ningbo. The transit-times from China to South Eas
t Asia and the Arabian Gulf are amongst the fastest in the industry.
Commenting on the new service, P&O Nedlloyd General Manager Asian Tra
des, Leo Huisman, said:
