10th anniversary for Korea and Yentai service
It has been 10 years since car-ferry services between Korea and Yentai began.
The Yentai China Korea Ferry cooperation was founded in October, 1995. It opened the trade between Korea and Yentai after deploying a vessel between Pusan and Yentai in December of the same year.
Since then, the route changed to between Gunsan and Yentai. Finally, a join stock company, C&K Ferry Lines was founded in October, 2000, and the existing route expanded to include Incheon and Yentai services.
C&K Ferry Lines opened a two times weekly service in April, 2001 and in October of the same year it expanded to a three times weekly service. They changed the existing vessel in 2002 to the 'Xiang Xue Lan' which can accommodate 392 passengers and a load of 293 TEU cargoes.
C&K Ferry Lines is growing fast in cargoes and passenger transportation connecting with its Chinese partner.
The company held an anniversary for its 10 years joint venture with its Chinese partner company. In attendance at the hotel in Yentai on October 27 were 150 people including President Seo Jeong Ho of IPA, Vice-Mayor Yentai and the customs director and other officials.
