Mearsk Sealand of two container vessels Namegiving Ceremony
Mearsk Sealand had a Namegiving Ceremony of 4300TEU two container vess
els at Hyundai Heavy Industry in Ulsan on Dec.15th, 1999. The Hull 119
9 was named ‘Galsgow Maersk’ by Mrs. Anna-Maria Aden, wife of Mr.Det
thold Aden, Chairman of Bremerlagerhaus Gesellschaft. This ship will b
e run by Captain Glenn Wostenholme and Chief Engineer Alistair Joern S
teen Nielsen, Managing Director of Maersk Broker K/S. This ship will b
e run by Captain Simon Grainger and Chief Engineer Alan Dodd.
Mr. Knud E.Stubkjaer Partner in A.P.Moller and wife Su Jin Stubkjaer a
ttended from the A.P.Moller head office in Copenhagen. A selected Grou
p of dignitaries including the Vice Minister of MOMAF, the Danish Amba
ssador in Korea, the Mayor of Kwangyang City, attended along with many
of the company’s good business relations in Korea and abroad. Both v
essels will be deployed in one of the Line’s Far East / Europe string
s.
