NYK offers aid to recent victims of haiti earthquake

NYK provided donations and free ocean transport for relief supplies in response to the earthquake that occurred in Haiti on January 12. The company offers its condolences to those in this area and its wishes for a quick recovery.

Shipments of aid will be coordinated with Japan Platform (JPF),* an international humanitarian assistance organization, through the NYK Group - JPF Joint Aid Supplies Transportation Projects that have been conducted since 2004. Furthermore, the NYK Group has decided to collect donations from employees within the group, and the company will add a ?atching gift?to the collected amount.
