BPA purchase 3 berth in New Port
Busan Port Authority (BPA) signed a contract to purchase 3 berths for the New Port 1-1 phase terminal. The three berths which have been run by PNC were purchased at the cost of 488 billion won.
BPA negotiated with PNC over the past 7 months after it signed an MOU for purchase. The purchasing price was decided according to the arithmetic mean of 4 evaluation results, for which BPA and PNC each assigned 2 evaluation agencies.
In the contract, BPA gains ownership of 9 gantry cranes, the container yard and the three berths that were placed in the center of the New Port North Container Terminal.
BPA will call for bids until August 10 and decide on a new operator by August 12.
