Asia - New Zealand NZ3 service - Slot charter agreement
Maersk Line announced a slot charter agreement with NYK and MOL on the new Asia - New Zealand NZ3 Service on June 25, 2009. The new service replaces the previous joint ICS (Maersk, MOL, and NYK)/COSCO NZ3 service, and Maersk Line will become a slot purchase partner.
The new NZ3 will provide a weekly service with a wider scope of port calls both in Asia and New Zealand. Furthermore, Maersk now offers direct service between Yantian and New Zealand, Asia and New Plymouth with fast transit times.
The new service will have the following rotation: Tokyo (Japan), Kobe (Japan), Busan (South Korea), Shanghai (China), Yantian (China), Hong Kong, Auckland (New Zealand), New Plymouth (New Zealand), Nelson/Wellington (New Zealand), Lyttelton (New Zealand), Napier (New Zealand), Tauranga (New Zealand), and Tokyo (Japan) <Korea Shipping Gazette>
