Hyundai Heavy delivered 11 vessels in January
Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. (HHI) delivered 11 ships in January including a 10,000 TEU containership and a 216,000㎥ LNG carrier.
Nine vessels were delivered before their contracted delivery dates.
The 10,000 TEU containership was delivered 40 days before its scheduled delivery and the world? largest 216,000㎡ LNG carrier was delivered 20 days early. An 82,000㎥ LPG carrier, which was built using the on ground method was delivered 52 days early.
A 150,000㎥ LPG carrier for Greek shipowner Dynacom was delivered 76 days before the contracted delivery date.
Dynacom donated $25,000 to the HHI? workers?welfare fund as a token of their appreciations for the successful completion and early delivery.
?igh delivery performance in January is a result of advanced shipbuilding technology and continuous research and development.
