Busan Port Nominated as Venue for the 27th IAPH World Ports Conference in 2011
Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on Feb 5 that Busan was solely nominated as a candidate city for the 27th IAPH Conference in the 8th LAPH`s Asia and Oceania Regional Meeting.
International Association of Ports and Harbors (IAPH), the largest shipping and port related cooperative organization in the world, has a plan to hold its 27th IAPH general assembly in one of Asian cities in 2011.
The nomination is expected to serve as momentum to promote Busan as a promising host city for the 2011 IAPH Conference in the coming 25th IAPH General Assembly in Huston, the United States.
Since Korea showed its hope to host the 27th IAPH Conference in the IAPH`s Asia and Oceania Regional Conference held in Busan in 2004, it has continuously taken promotion activities to the member countries.
