Seaborne trade volume between Korea and Russia during the first half
increased by 25 percent

It is analyzed that seaborne trade volume between Korea and Russia showes
a steep growth due to the increase in mutual trade since diplomatic
relations have been set up between the two countries.
Seaborne trade volume during the first half of this year recorded 11,6
49TEU export and 9,580TEU import, up each 7.3 percent and 43.5 percent
as compared to 18,048TEU export and 6,673TEU import during the same
period of last year.
Of the total export volume during the first half, cargo volume from direct
trade amounted to 9,810TEU with TSR cargo reaching 1,839TEU.
In the meantime, out of the total import volume, cargo volume from direct
trade amounted to 5,325TEU whereas TSR cargo have come to 4,355TEU.
Concerning freight revenues, joint-venture company’s owned vessel and
Russian vessels have earned $8,270,000 in exports and $2,470,000 in
imports.
Freight revenues from the direct trade have reached $1,950,000 while the
ones from TSR have shown $510,000 respectively.
