[ Shipping Companies’ Revenues Steadily Increased ]

Korean shipping companies’ revenues earned by cargo trade has steadil
y been increased, KSA said recently.
As of April this year, the revenues earned by cargo export/import from
and to Korea and from cross trades outside Korea have amounted to
$1,985,015,000, up 27.4 percent from the corresponding period of last
year.
KSA official said that the steep growth in the freight revenues is mai-
nly attributable to a big jump in a container volume between North Ame-
rica and Far East trade where actually much larger sized vessels like
over 4,000 teus have been continually employed.
