Hanjin Shipping awarded "Best e-Business"
Hanjin Shipping was named "Best e-Business in Shipping in Korea" for the second year running by the Korean Association of Shipping and Logistics. The Best e-Business in Shipping in Korea was originally created last year by the Korean Association of Shipping and Logistics, an academic organization, to encourage e-business in shipping and logistics industry. In August 2003, 60 corporations were nominated, and the winner was chosen through expertise evaluations and customer on-line polls. Hanjin Shipping's homepage won outstanding appraisal for its system(graded A), contents(A+) and user satisfaction(A), proving that the homepage is the best of its kind related to shipping and logistics.
The awarding ceremony took place on February 13 during the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of the Association.
Hanjin Shipping's website at www.hanjin.com consists of English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese versions; it provides not only one-way services such as schedule search as well as cargo tracking, but also interactive services that include booking requests, internet bill of lading issuances as well as other shipping documents admissions,. The number of such interactive service operation per month tops 5,000 cases, taking up 5 the number is still dramatically increasing.
