Uiwang ICD has trouble carrying cargoes
The Trucker's Federation strike since August 21st cut cargoes in half at the Uiwang Inland Container Depot.
Kyoungin ICD, an operation company in Uiwang, reported that it had 2,223 TEU in and out, a mere 40.3% of its usual daily handling of 5,511 TEU.
Trucks carried only 1,720 TEU, terribly short of the usual 4,200 TEU. Other cargoes were carried by rail.
Kyoungin ICD expected that daily cargoes in and out would reach 50 ~ 60% before the strike thanks to railways and trucks running until midnight.
Trucking companies in KCTC and Korea Express carried cargoes with 160 trucks, adding 10 more trucks not involved with the Trucker's Federation.
