Korea Vessel Operation launched

The proposal meeting for the Korea Vessel Operation was held in DSME headquarters on Feb. 6. The meeting was to select the new president, director and auditors as well as create the articles of incorporation.
Mr. Younshin Kim was elected president, Mr. Dongsu Jeong as director and Hongrak Son, and Ho Yoon as auditors.
Investment totaled 7.3 billion won, with the STX Corporation investing 2 billion won, DSME with 2 billion won, Korea Line with 1 billion won, the National Federation of Fisheries Cooperatives and Korea Investment Trust with 0.7 billion won each, Seyang Shipping and NSB with 0.3 billion won each, and Pan Ocean shipping, Shinsung Shipping, and Hanwon Maritime with 0.1 billion won.
Mr. Ho Yoon is a former director of the Korea Industry Bank and Mr. Dongsu Jeong is a former vice minister of the Ministry of the Environment.
The Korea Vessel Operation Co. will finish incorporation within a few days and open its first office in the Kyobo building near Seoul City Hall in Kwangwhamun at the end of February.
