Kimhae airport increases security
Due to the crash of a Chinese airplane, Kimhae airport will reinforce its aerial security facilities in order to support circuitous flying. The Ministry of Construction announced that lead-in lights to support circuitous flying would be established on the northern runway by December 2004 at a cost of 5 billion won. The background for the announcement comes from landing obstacles, (Dotdae mountain at a height of 380 meters and Shin-eo mountain at a height of 650 meters) both of which obscure the northern runway and increase the likelihood of a crash there.
