Basel, August 29, 2000. Danzas has taken on more than 2,200 employee

s eight logistics centers, which are spread all over Germany. For a pr
oduct range running from huge cable drums to tiny electronic component

ng, order picking, transport, delivery and waste disposal. The logisti
cs centers are equipped with automatic high-rack warehouses and posses
s external storage facilities and a vehicle fleet ensuring full geogra

For Danzas, taking on Deutsche Telekom's logistics means an increase
of annual sales of more than EUR 200 million. The current contract ha
s been signed for a twelve year period, the first five of which on an
exclusive basis. This is one of the largest outsourcing contracts ever
signed in Europe. The acquisition of Telekom's logistics operations i
s expected to spur development of the Danzas Solutions Business Unit,
to which Danzas TeleLog GmbH belongs. The logistics firm, which operat
es worldwide, also expects positive impulses for expanding its market
share in the technology and telecommunications field.
