New Danzas AEI Intercontinental Rapidly Taking Shape

The announcement in November 1999 of Deutsche Post signing a merger ag
reement with Air Express International and the integration of all AEI
activities into the Danzas Intercontinental Business Unit made big wav
es within the worldwide logistics industry. Now the new Danzas AEI Int
ercontinental Business Unit is ready to communicate the new worldwide
structure.
With the announcements of the appointments for the important functions
on group, regional, subregional and country/country group levels Danz
as AEI Intercontinental Business Unit has concluded one of the major a
nd most important steps of the integration design phase. Now the secon
d step of integration planning, followed by the field integration, wil
l be taken up at full speed.
The new organization took effect on March 06, 2000. This means that al
l responsibilities from the group level to the country level are assig
ned to the responsible persons.
The integration process is designed to achieve a seamless and orderly
transition. The executive teams leading the integration process are c
ommitted to ensuring that customers receive the highest level of serv
ice during the transition period.
