MOL started additional call at Port Beira for East Africa Express Ser
vice

MOL(Mitsui O.S.K. Lines) added direct call at Port Beira in Mozambique
in the rotation of its East Africa Express Container Service from the
middle of July.
The first ship to sail under the new rotation schedule will be the ‘A
sian Challenger’, which is planned to depart from Singapore on July 1
8. It is one of the three 1,000-TEU vessels deployed in the service, t
he other two being the Pacific Challenger and the Caribbean Challenger
.
With the additional call of Beira, the service will feature fortnightl
y calls at Singapore(Fri./Sat.), Colombo(Thu./Fri.), Port Louis(Wed./T
hu.), Reunion(Fri./Fri.), Tamatave(Sat./Sun.), Beira(Thu./Fri.), Dar e
s Salaam(Mon./Wed.), Mombassa(Thu./Sat.), Cochin(Thu./Fri.), Colombo(S
at./Sun.), Port Kelang(Thu./Thu.) and Singapore(Fri./Sat.).
Announcing the additional Beira call, MOL said that shippers could get
access to faster and more reliable inland transportaion services to c
enters in Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia.
