Far EAST/ECSA introduces GRR and PSS

Member Lines serving the trade from Asia to East Coast of South America reaffirmed the GRR implementation program at a level of US$ 150 per TEU as scheduled, on and after 1st July, 2003 shipments on B/L date basis.
The lines also have announced an introduction of a Peak Season Surcharge (PSS) of US$ 100 per TEU for a period from 1st August until 30th November, 2003.
The Lines believe that the above rating arrangements will enable them to improve their service quality in the trade.
