CSAV stops Asia/Mexico service
Chilean ocean carrier CSAV has stopped a service linking China and Korea with Mexico after only two sailings in September, according to maritime news service Alphaliner.
The carrier ANDEX 3 service was announced Aug. 23 and was to complement its ANDEX 1 and ANDEX 2 Asia/Mexico services. The rotation was Dalian, Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas and Dalian.
American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data confirmed the service suspension Tuesday. The service was to be operated with seven vessels of 2,500 to 3,000 TEUs of capacity.
Alphaliner reported that two of the vessels released from the suspended service have been redeployed on CSAV newly launched ASIAM service, which links the Indian Subcontinent and the Far East with the U.S. West Coast.
