Customs Office plans ahead of goals

The Customs Office held their second meeting of the year with 46 customs collectors from all over the country at the Daejeon Government building on August 24. Also in attendance at the meeting was Customs Minister Seong Yun Kwab.

The Customs Office announced that it exceeded its goal by promoting customs administration reorganization according to its ‘CMP 2010+’ plan for mid and long term integration for customs improvements in the first half of this year.

Deviations for cargo handling times recorded 11.1 days, less than the initially scheduled 11.8 days. Passengers’customs times clocked in at 23 minutes, nicely under the initially planned 25 minutes.

Minister Seong said, “We have to look for the best alternative plan to achieve our goals.”
