Preussag Acquires the Majority of Shares of Hapag-Lloyd

Preussag AG, Hannover, has Acquired the majority of shares of Hapag-Ll
oyd.
The seven major shareholders of Hapag-Lloyd AG, Hamburg, who collectiv
ely keep 99 percent of the stock, agreed to the purchase of their shar
es.
The supervisory board of Preussag AG as well as the German fair Trade
Commission still have approve the conclusion of respective contracts.
The Preussag AG has announced that the company structure of Hapag-Lloy
d will main unchanged. The headoffice will stay in Hamburg and Hapag-
Lloyd’s business will be further developed accordingly.
