[ Korea/China maritime conference held in Seoul ]

Maritime experts from Korea and China got together in Seoul for a two-
day consultative meeting on June 29-30, the Korea Maritime and Port Ad-
ministration reported.
At the meeting, the second of its kind, the two sides had exchanged op-
inions on matters of mutual concern, including China’s guatantee of
Korean shipping companies’ free business activities in its territory.
Among other issues are port calls at the port of Pusan of mother ship
owned by China Ocean Shipping Co.,(COSCO) and additional openings of
Car-ferry routes between Korea and China.
The first Korea-China maritime consultative meeting was held in Beijing
last August.
