BPA to Promote ?014 Busan International Cruise Exhibition?to be Held in June.
Busan Port Authority (BPA) will promote Busan Port in Miami, U.S. BPA stated that they will participate in the world's largest cruise convention in Miami, 멌ruise Shipping Miami 2014? starting from the 10th to the 12th.
BPA plans to promote Asia;'s largest cruise expo, ?014 Seatrade Cruise Korea Busan,?which will be held in Busan on June 11th.
BPA along with Busan City, Korea Tourism Organization, and the British shipping journal, Seatrade, which will organize the Seatrade Cruise Korea, Busan will invite local press to the briefing session on the 12th.
In addition, BPA President Ki-tack Lim will introduce the current status of Busan Port and its potential in the global cruise market by presenting 'Strategies of Busan Port for Development of the Cruise Industry,'and will ask for support and interest.
BPA is going to install the Korean Exhibition Hall during this period, and will promote the various attractions of Busan Port as a cruise port of call.
Furthermore, BPA plans to visit the world's second largest cruise company, RCCL's head office and Princess Cruise to carry out marketing activities by explaining the cruise terminal expansion plans of Busan Port.
Mr. Lim said, "We will try our best to attract more cruise ships and tourists to boost the local economy."
In 2013, cruise vessels called at Busan Port 99 times, and the port expects 134 calls this year with 0.25 million tourists. The number of cruise tourists is growing annually. < Korea Shipping Gazette >
