The revised PHI-4 service will start calling Hakata and retain its 28 day rotation, covering the ports of Shanghai ? Busan ? Osaka - Yokohama ? Tokyo ? Kobe ? Hakata - Hong Kong ? Yantian ? Manila (South Harbour) ? Manila (North Harbour) ? Cagayan de Oro ? Shanghai.
The revised service will offer several benefits. First, the new direct product from Hakata to Hong Kong / Yantian has faster transit times (Hakata to Hong Kong is 3 days and Hakata to Yantian is 4 days).
The revised PHI-4 will now offer a more stable and reliable service from Hakata. The revised PHI-4 replaces the IA-8 Hakata call while the day of call is retained, so the cut-off time is the same as before.
In addition the PHI-4 offers faster transit time from Hakata to Hong Kong of 3 days, leading to better transshipment connections and faster transit time from Hakata to Yantian of 4 days, leading to better transshipment connections.
The first vessel on the revised PHI-4 service is MCC Sandiwa, expected to arrive Hakata on July 29th, 2012.
