Korea and Greece recently enhanced their shipbuilding and shipping cooperation.
June 6, Minister of Trade Industry & Energy Yoon Sang-jik met the Greek Minister of shipping, Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, in Greece.
They held 'The 2nd Shipbuilding and Shipping Ministerial Meeting' and signed a Shipbuilding Technology Cooperation Memorandum of Understanding.
Greece has 4,894 ships and is a world-class maritime country. Annual domestic ship orders for shipyards are up about 20 to 30 percent.
Shipbuilding companies in Korea and Greece held a forum to foster cooperation between the two countries
Yoon Sang-jik, Minister of Trade Industry & Energy said, "Contributions to the economic development of our two countries in the shipping industry will further strengthen cooperation."Kormarine will be held in Busan in October next year and was invited to the Ministry of Otis Bar Beach.
Kormarine is a maritime exhibition held every two years.
