Listed subsidiary announced chairman‘s resignation with no replacement named yet.
COSCO Shipping Holding, the containership and port arm of China Cosco Shipping Group, has officially announced the resignation of its chairman Wan Min, who left the parent group in December to assume the chairmanship at China National Travel Service Group (CTS). Before moving to the Hong Kong-based tourism company, Mr Wan was the president of the state-owned shipping conglomerate.
Shanghai-and Hong Kong-listed CSH said in an exchange filing that the departure was due to job relocation, and a board meeting would soon be held to elect a new chairman. Ahead of the election, vice chairman Huang Xiaowen will serve as acting chairman, CSH added. Mr Huang is also a vice president at the parent China Cosco Shipping. Lloyd’s List previously reported that industry sources expected him to be the leading candidate to fill the vacancy left by Mr Wan.
