The Port of Seattle welcomes the announcement that Aeromexico will begin service from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport to Mexico City beginning November 1, 2017. The daily nonstop flight will be on a 160-seat Boeing 737-800 airplane and will feature Clase Premier, AM Plus, and coach seating. Aeromexico serves more than 80 cities on three continents, including 44 destinations in Mexico, 19 in the United States, 15 in Latin America, four in Canada, four in Europe, and three in Asia.
“The Port of Seattle is thrilled to offer another nonstop international destination,” said Port of Seattle Commissioner John Creighton. “Washington state and Mexico are culturally connected in so many ways. Mexico City is a Latin American gateway and a vital economic hub to our state, so this new service offers extraordinary opportunities for strengthening ties between us and great value and convenience to the traveling public.”
Aeromexico’s Mexico City service joins Munich and Cologne Germany; Shenzhen, China; and Guadalajara, Mexico as the fifth new nonstop international destination to be announced at Sea-Tac since 2016. Mexico City becomes the airport’s 25th nonstop international destination.
