ECU-Line has appointed Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. as their new agent in B
arbadas.
They are offering a sailing every week to Bridgetown via Ecuador Line,

Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. was founded in 1969 by Eric Hassell, a ship’s
captain who previously sailed schooners from Barbados to Guyama. Upo
n coming ashore after a lifetime at sea, Eric Hassell saw a need for a
new shipping agent in Barbados. He began by acting for the inter-isla
nd vessels that he know so well, and a ageneration later the company i
s still actively involved in this particular business.
The company is especially known for working on behalf of special tonna
ge such as the international deepsea research vessels “Joides Resolut
ion”and the “Rainbow Warrior”-flagship of Greenpeace. Several ocea
n-going luxury yachts also call upon the companys services and experti
se during the year.
From its isception 28 years ago, Eric Hassell & Son Ltd. has been one
of the only a handful of local companies holding a stevedoring license
at the Port of Bridgetown. One of the hallmarks of its stevedoring se
rvice is the efficiency of its workers and the excellent relationships
held with the general port workers.
The area of consolidation is one in which they foresee tremandous grow
th opportunities. They presently utilize the Customs warehouse within
the Port of Bridgetown. This works very efficiently as there is seldo
