New DHL logistics center for Daejeon
DHL, a global logistic company is going to build a logistic center in Daejeon.
DHL Korea announced on July 30 that it started to discuss building a logistic center near the north Daejeon IC and Daedeok Techno Valley with Daejeon City.
DHL will invest 4 billion won in the logistic center, construct it with grounds of 2,000 pyoung, and 500 pyoung floor space. As cargo growth continues, it will be expanded to a maximum 5,000 additional pyoung.
This logistic center will collect and deliver cargoes around Daejeon and Chungcheong. It will handle most cargoes including semiconductors, jewelry and high value-added goods.
Daejeon City will support the complete center construction, reasoning that it domestic and foreign high technology companies will gather in Daejeon City for better logistic services when the DHL logistic center opens.
